About Janet Whitehead People have always been fascinating to me, especially the body language and facial expressions with which they express in their own unique way the differences that make us all alike. I love to observe and paint them while they are absorbed in life, allowing a glimpse into their world as well as giving the viewer an opportunity to examine the universal nature of the human condition. My goal is to inspire introspection and to use the abstract nature of the paint, color and light to give each picture a quality which takes the viewer beyond reality to something beautiful and visually poetic.
